The Honourable Justice Elisabeth Peden was sworn in as a Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 6 April 2022. Her Honour graduated from the University of Sydney with degrees in Arts and Law, both with first class honours, and was awarded the University Medal in Law. Her Honour went on to complete her PhD on contractual implied terms at Cambridge University. From 1999, her Honour was an academic and an academic barrister. From 2008, her Honour worked as a fractional professor of law at the University of Sydney and practised fulltime from the Twelfth and Third Floor of Wentworth Chambers primarily in the areas of contract, commercial law and general equity. Her Honour took silk in 2019, and in 2022 was recognised as a professor emerita at the University of Sydney.
