The Honourable Justice Paul McGuire was sworn-in as a Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 8 July 2025. His Honour graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws, and was called to the Bar in 1999 before taking silk in 2015. His Honour has worked extensively in law in both Australia and the United Kingdom and previously led 7 Garfield Barwick Chambers. His Honour was appointed to the District Court in 2023 where he developed a national reputation for his work in white collar crime, fraud, insider trading and terrorism prosecutions.
