The Honourable Justice Kelly Ann Rees was sworn-in as a Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 5 September 2018. Her Honour graduated from the University of New South Wales with Bachelors in both Law and Commerce, and earned the Sir Kevin Ellis Prize as the best student in this combined degree. In continuing this academic success, her Honour attended the University of Cambridge, attaining a Master of Law with First-Class Honours. In 1998 her Honour was called to the Bar and worked in commercial disputes, property, insurance, professional negligence and discipline, and many notable Inquiries and Inquests. Rees J took silk in 2012.
