The Honourable Justice Sarah McNaughton was sworn in as a Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 11 October 2022. Her Honour graduated from the University of Sydney with degrees in Arts and Law with honours, followed by a Master of Laws. In 1988 her Honour became an associate to the then President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Michael Kirby AC CMG. Her Honour was admitted as a solicitor in 1989 and worked at (what was then) Freehill Hollingdale and Page, before being called to the Bar in 1996. Justice McNaughton joined the Forbes Chambers in 1998 where she managed and appeared in large, complex, multi-accused, multi-agency conspiracy matters. Her Honour took silk in 2011 and in 2016 was appointed Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
