The Honourable Justice Ashley Black was sworn-in as a Judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 4 July 2011. His Honour holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws with first class honours, and Master of Laws from the University of Sydney, where he was awarded the Law Graduates Association Medal. Prior to his Honour's appointment to the Supreme Court he was partner of Mallesons since 1995, specialising in commercial litigation.
