The Hon. Justice Boulten will be sworn in on 3 February 2026 at 9.15am in the Banco Court.
Admissions ceremonies for new lawyers will be held on 6 January from 9am.
The Honourable Andrew Bell, Chief Justice of New South Wales, has been appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) in the General Division in this year’s Australia Day Honours, for eminent service to the judiciary and to the law, to legal education and training, and to the arts as an administrator and benefactor.

Bicentenary of the Supreme Court

On 17 May 2024 the court celebrated the bicentenary of its founding under the Third Charter of Justice and its ensuing successes over two centuries.
